Boating SuppliesBoating supplies are a pretty important supply if you are a serious boater. If you are going out to sea and don't have to right supplies, you could get into some bad trouble. If you are just going to out to the lake, you can get into trouble without the right supplies there too. When it comes down to, it you need the right supplies anywhere you go on a boat. You are always going to need a lifejacket. This way, if anything were to happen, and you fell into the water you could stay afloat. You never want to go out on a boat, any kind of boat even big cruse boats and not have any safety equipment to float on or in row. Now, if you have a sailboat without a motor, you might want to keep a few paddles with you just in case you get out there and then wind dies. With the paddles you at least have some hope of getting back to shore. If you are going to be going out early season or a body of water where its cold, depending on the boat and how wet you may get, I recommend getting a wetsuit. They help a great deal. If you are going to be wet and its windy out, chances are you're going to get cold, so wearing a wetsuit would end up being a good idea. It is always good to have at least a wet top, you may not need the bottoms. A wet top is basically a shirt made out of wetsuit material. If you are going to be going out on a nice day, you should bring your swimming suit and some water shoes. That way if you are walking on rocks or anything hard in the water you won't cut up your feet and you won't have to ruin your shoes because you can't walk in the water with bare feet. So wet shoes are a good idea to bring along when you go boating. They don't need to be all high-tech or anything either, just a regular pair of cheep water shoes will work fine. You should probably have some towels on board, and some snacks or drinks if you are planning to make a day of it. If its going to be sunny, bring sunscreen lotion so you don't get burnt.
